Hi there! My name is Noor and welcome to The Analytical Edge! Recently, I have become more interested in data science and how it affects my everyday life, so I plan to use this blog to explore analytics. 

I’ve always loved math and, honestly, all subjects related to STEM. I actually find myself losing track of time while working on math homework. For most of my ‘academic career’, numbers and math have always made sense, so learning about the field of data science piqued my interest. 

I became intrigued with statistics and data analysis when I began observing the role mathematical trends play in my life. Firstly, I noticed that the recommended apps on my iPhone would change based on the time of day. Additionally, I realized that targeted advertisements are a result of data science and data analysis. Since I had a better understanding of the real-world applications of data analysis, I decided to explore analytics further to determine whether or not it may be a good fit for me. Through further research, I learned that data scientists can work in almost any field and heavily rely on math to analyze data.
